Do you want to work in a dynamic environment where you can engage with advanced crane systems and technical challenges? We are currently looking for experienced maintenance technicians for our client in the Port of Gothenburg, operating within logistics and transportation.

The position is scheduled for night shifts, either:

• Sunday to Thursday 22:00–06:00
• Wednesday to Saturday 22:00–06:00
• This position is a temporary hire through Randstad with a good opportunity for permanent employment with the client. As part of the recruitment process, a security and background check will be conducted.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Perform preventive, scheduled, and emergency maintenance on heavy crane systems and related equipment, including motors, hydraulic systems, brakes, and safety systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in crane systems and related equipment.
• Work at heights during inspections and maintenance of crane systems.
• Analyze and interpret technical documents such as electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
• Inspect cables, blocks, and other critical components to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with the operations team to plan and prioritize daily maintenance tasks.
• Document and report maintenance activities, inspections, and troubleshooting results.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance and operation of heavy crane systems or similar industrial equipment.
• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components.
• Ability to work with electrical schematics, hydraulic drawings, and mechanical diagrams.
• Basic knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
• Good skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Able to work independently as well as in a team.

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in maintenance and operation of STS cranes or similar heavy crane systems.
• Strong knowledge of crane systems, including mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components.
• Experience with PLC and SCADA systems.
